Really? All I commented on was things that I’ve seen. I’ve been to the spring games and tried to pay attention to as much as I could, I’ve watched old tapes, and from my opinion I like the other two better. Nothing of what I said is a set fact or is based on a fact. Last I checked this was a message board for things like that. So to answer your question, no, I may have no clue what I’m talking about, but I was simply discussing what I felt about the QB competition.

no problem. I was just informing you of some actual facts about Kean that perhaps you missed.

I’ve done my research on all 3 QB’s but at the end of the day I’m just a fan.  I like Kean and think he’s a great player, but if we’re going on the facts I’m pretty sure Barnett was a much higher rated QB and I’m sure that his height wasn’t the only thing that got him that rating.

I can't say that I know who will win the job but to say this about Kean is asinine.

The kid was a 2 year starter at a top 10 program in the country. they were literally ranked in the top 10 while he was there. He won a state title with them. Threw for 2800 yards and 32 TDs as a junior. Ran for 11 more. True dual threat.

Not to take anything away from Oladokun but he only had a so-so high school career. 1390 yards passing and 15 TDs as a senior. His rushing stats were nothing to speak of either.

The only reason Brett Kean wasn't recruited more heavily was because of his height. Remind you of someone? Perhaps Matt Grothe?

and I bet the only reason they brought in BB is because they thought Kean might be suspended.

Not sure your giving that St. Edward team as a whole the proper attribution for those accomplishments. This is quite the Sr. Class:

Sorry . I was just pointing out the facts that Kean put up much better stats as a QB in high school than CO.

Actually as a junior (only numbers I can find - he did go 13-2 as a senior and won state championship though)he put up pretty comparable stats to Barnett as well.

Kean- passing 180-300 for 2810 yards and 32 TDs rushing 11 TDs

Barnett - passing 165-295 for 2332 yards and 22 TDs rushing 13 TDs

so Kean had almost 500 yards more passing and 10 more TDs on 5 more attempts.

Just don't be surprised if Kean wins the job.

They must have seen something they liked in Kean after all he did transfer from Florida and started as a junior. Funny that 4 or 5 of the 7 you list were defensive players.

Certainly, but it's not like he was the sole reason for their success. In his time here, I haven't been wowed by what he's done, granted he hasn't had that much of a shot. If he's the guy, then I trust he is the best for the job right now. I just don't have high hopes.

He put up pretty good numbers in high school for a very good team in a very competitive football state where he was arguably the most important player on a state championship team. I haven't been wowed here either but the guy has 37 pass attempts here. I haven't been wowed by the other two either. I wouldn't be at all disappointed if he is the one chosen.

The only facts you gave were their HS stats and they mean nothing now.  You're using those to form your opinion and @OcalaBull2 is using what he's seen to form his.  Again, it's all just opinion.

I wouldn’t be because I feel all 3 have the ability to be very successful.

actually stats are facts. they are not opinion. and what they did in high school is why they were recruited to play where there are in college. they are very relevant.

I was just pointing out to Ocala Bull that there is more than meets the eye and to not be surprised if kean wins the job.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
