We have been paying him $1 million a year which means we have been saving for the three years Texas is paying. So hopefully we can pay him and staff for six years. Something has to happen by year six for us to continue to pay him. i.e. joining the Big 12

Texas money runs out after this season. Coach Strong's USF paycheck bumps up from 1M to 2.5M. This is competitive with lower end power conferences coaches and the top of our conference.

Sounds right. For some reason I thought it was 3 years of Texas paying.
