Obviously winning is good, but this is the worst case scenario for a win. The bullpen is getting worn out today PLUS you're in the loser's bracket.

Perez is toast for the next game anyway, you send him out for another inning OR you roll the dice with someone way down on the depth chart and pray he can keep them to less than 5 runs.
