I thought that was kind of on the catcher although technically a WP.  he's definitely struggling with control.  Freshman jitters.

If you're missing opposite side with wild pitches, that's a bad sign. It's pretty easy to let one fly here and there to your arm side, but you've got to be very mechanically off on a particular day to miss to other side of the plate with fastballs. Probably nerves.

The WP that scored a run was to the target side, he just over threw it.  Terrible pitch, but I think he is feeling some nerves.  Didn't see him pitch this year to know if it was a regular issue?

Me either. I just saw him the first inning and thought it might be a thing.

Didn't realize he was a true freshman.  For some reason, I thought he was on the staff last year.
