Fire the whole athletic department. We lost a road women's basketball game.

We missed 14 of our last 15 shots and shot 3 for 22 from 3 pt land.  Don't think we need to fire the coach or play more bench players. Yes, it was fugly but if we make a few shots we win the game.  Not quite sure how you coach them to shoot better.  Some days (like 11 3s in a row) they go in and some days they don't.  Kit is so wildly streaky it is scary.  She is a liability on D so if she isn't making shots there isn't much contribution from her.  LF isn't even hitting the rim with most of her 3s lately.  But she plays good D and rebounds.  Don't know if it is a confidence thing with her?  Alba was the only one with multiple 3s in the game but not sure how many she missed.

But we do seem to have 2 or 3 of these games every year; that is losses that we shouldn't have.  Makes you crazy.

Whatever. I saw a tired team, which could be a reason for the poor shooting. If he goes a little deeper on his bench for minutes, we may be a team with fresher legs, which could lead to better shooting. Back-to-back road trips in five days isn't easy and your four primary players played: Ferreira (80 minutes), Flores (73 minutes), Jespersen (67 minutes), Laksa (67 minutes)

Laksa sat more yesterday than normal.  Didn't help with her shooting.

She seems to have a bit of an attitude issue, which might explain her streaky shooting. Her body language and demeanor during the UCONN game was terrible and troubling. This team seems to lack leadership/identity. Also, while there is talent, there just doesn't seem to be enough raw athleticism. I hope Jose can address this in future recruiting classes. We need someone with fire and spark. The European players don't seem to quite have it like the homegrown girls do.

I tend to agree, I said essentially the same thing a couple of days ago...

Not until he can consistently get in-country talent. Don't get me wrong, I love our girls--they are talented and work hard. But there's an edge that growing up playing in America gives.

It's taken until now for CJF to find a niche and manufacture ranked teams from it. I hope these teams become the fuel that moves our name up on the recruiting trail.

But we don't yet have a depth of talent that we can just cycle players in & out like other top 10 teams--so our starters have to be out there more minutes for us to have the chance at a W in close/ranked games. Ludicrous to think about firing CJF, as he's constructed winning teams that are putting USF on the WBB map. That kind of sentiment got us where we are in MBB after firing Stan. You have to build the brand before you can get the talent--more like Courtney will follow as momentum builds.

There's only so much native born talent out there. Until one of the big programs somehow implodes it's very tough to get that small handful. But that doesn't propel the narrative of the anti-CJF people.

Anyone who suggests firing Jose, even in jest, has clearly lost his/her mind. This guy should have a statue built. Pre-Jose, that program was a worse dumpster fire than our men's program is right now . . . although the guys are catching up pretty fast.

Agree. I think you can be slightly critical of the play/approach this season, but the guy has been so dedicated to the University. He could have left for a higher profile gig, but he is committed to turning USF into a National Title contender.

Maybe someone in Paradise could come in and do a better job...

Biggest problem I have is a lack of aggression. On one particular play yesterday WSU threw the past two BULLS and neither one mad even an inch of movement to get to the ball. One of them actually alligator armed it to get out of the way!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
