Get on the bus FSU. It's been proven that "I" can get there.

Some players are saying this isn't true.

According to The Oregon 24/7 site those tweets have since been deleted. Looks like they just hadn't received the memo yet... Hope Leavitt gets his second chance out of this.

Oregon’s Willie Taggart has reached an agreement to become Florida State’s coach, sources said.

Since Florida State learned of Jimbo Fisher’s involvement with Texas A&M, Taggart has been targeted as the Seminoles’ clear-cut No. 1 candidate, a source said. On Monday, Fisher was officially introduced as Texas A&M’s coach.

Even before Fisher left Florida State, a source said Oregon offered Taggart a one-year extension on his existing contract, through 2022, increasing his five-year deal to $18 million. After Fisher accepted the Texas A&M job last week, Oregon increased its offer in hopes of keeping Taggart.

Returning to his home state played a big part in Taggart’s decision, sources said. A native of Florida, Taggart was born in Bradenton, Fla., and played high school football at Bradenton Manatee.

With Taggart at Oregon and South Florida, the Ducks and Bulls were among the nation’s highest scoring offenses. Taggart’s teams at UO and USF scored more than 30 points in 23 consecutive games – at the time the nation’s longest streak –from 2015-2017 until Oregon starting QB Justin Herbert suffered a broken collarbone on Sept. 30.

This season Oregon finished 7-5. With Herbert starting, the Ducks were 6-1, averaging 52 points a game and without him, 1-4 averaging 15 points a game.

Before replacing Mark Helfrich at Oregon last season, Taggart spent four seasons at South Florida, rebuilding the Bulls’ program. He came to USF after three years at Western Kentucky.

Taggart, who is 47-50 overall in eight years as a head coach, was 25-9 the past three seasons at USF and Oregon, including three consecutive bowl berths.

Canzano tears into the bus driver and modern college football.

"Taggart came to Eugene to win big and get out. Or get rich and get out. Whichever came first. Both, preferably. But ultimately, be clear, he is getting out and leaving Oregon behind at some point. Maybe today. Maybe in a year. But he's leaving.

The "Why wouldn't I be back next season?" performance by Taggart on Friday and Sunday was the stuff of big-time college football. We all know why he wouldn't be back. He knows why. Still, the Ducks coach declared how excited he was for the Las Vegas Bowl, then jumped on a jet and went to meet with recruits... and Florida State."

Gotta love slick Willie

He stays at FSU for one year then takes the Bucs job...

Wonder about his son who i heard was a pretty good player in his own right. Shuffling from one state to another can’t be a lot of fun or helpful toward high school career.

I am sure those 5-6 Florida recruits at Oregon didn't see this coming when they signed on last year. That recruiting class for 2018 is probably  going to fall apart.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
