If he says with the team in any capacity, I respect him.  Unlike Slick Willie who bailed on his team.

Hope he stays around, he owes it to them.  Something lost on our former, money grubbin' coach.

I think you meant to post this in response to a different post involving Frost.

Mine was about Taggart and what he said shortly before he left each school.

I just meant to say that if Frost stays involved through the bowl game, he's a better man than Willie.

These guys are pulling in millions and the least they can do, is do right by the players.

I now see you posted the same response in a different thread about Frost.

I  also would have liked Taggart to coach our bowl game.

The difference this time, is the early signing period.

Frost apparently has already told some UCF commits that he will offer them at Nebraska.

Can you imagine Frost SIGNING to Nebraska some of their best commits BEFORE their bowl game?

If so, how can THAT be the right thing to do?

And, should Frost and his staff sign up the remaining UCF commits to UCF between Dec 20-22?

It seems unethical, but they will go where they choose.  I think recruits' commitments should be just that, COMMITMENTS, but they aren't.  Just like I think a coach should be held to a CONTRACT, but they aren't, really.  Willie stole a few recruits and took them to Oregon.  It's a dirty game.

Coaching is an ethics free zone I guess.

Maybe there will be an uproar since Alabama may not in the CFP, nor have they received an NFL franchise invite.

"Retread" who owned the conference when he was at Houston. And took TAMU to 6 bowl games in the SEC West. Sumlin is a proven winner with an 8 win floor. Just didn't cut it in the SEC.

If we make fun of UCF's titles before we were stuck in the American with them, we have to make fun of Houston's as well.  Soooo, not toooo impressed.  Also, bowls aren't really a big deal anymore when all you need is a .500 record to get in - also, sometimes teams with 5 wins make a bowl.

I understand that.

When Taggart left he cut his ties to USF and could recruit whoever he wanted to Oregon.

But Frost has not YET cut his ties to UCF, if he's still going  to coach their bowl game.

So, who is his current employer, UCF or Nebraska?

I don't think he can wear both hats at the same time.

I saw a couple pages on this thread, someone tweeted the name of an interim coach for UCF, so if that's true, Frost is gone NOW.  His current employer is Nebraska.

These P5 schools need their new coaches on the recruiting trail right away.  No time for them to fiddle around coaching a bowl game for a JV school.
