Is coach strong really a good coach? Serious question, brought some guys to Louisville with him that were known for nefarious recruiting tactics. Got some good talent and won the big east once. Went to Texas and failed miserably, and can't say he was short on talent there. I apologize in advance for my negativity. I've been watching the bulls for such a long time and I thought we were going in the right direction after some miserable years in recent memory. I feel like Coach Strong may end being the new Skip holtz for us 1.25 games into our season

Im not impressed with this offense.

Holtz tried to make us a power run team. Failed. Taggart tried this same offense failed until he changed.

Not only slow and ineffective, but back to being boring.

So far, I agree, but it's early.

The thing I liked about Taggart's offense the last couple years was we started fast and stayed in front.  We put all the pressure on the other team.

So far, Strong's offense hasn't done that.  I get we lost some playmakers but we still should have run roughshod out the gate in both games so far.

I hope it's just vanilla playcalling, but it's aggravating so far.

Blocked punts are a symptom of weak o-line we have. And we are seeing weakness against weak teams.

Our new offensive coordinator has a pretty good track record so I don't expect much drop off from last year, but the early playcalling and execution is not promising.

But don't you think he's running an offense  not suited for our skill players? They're basically taking away our best weapon, Flowers's legs

Oh yeah, why can't receivers catch a wet ball when they play in Tampa exactly?

Only first quarter but two slow starts in two games. we will see if the team picks it up like they did last week.

We are playing with no energy.  Conditioning?  Talent level b/w teams is no competition.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
