No dig here, so why didn't our players wait until a staff was assembled before bolting?  You are right, it appears to be a decent staff so why the big hurry to leave?

We forget that students are in their teens and early twenties... Some of these people in their age group do stuff without a lot of planning.

I thought about that, too. Do you think COA ran more of a lax program? Maybe that's why there's been eligibility issues and suspensions? Maybe CBG is pushing for a rebuild in academics, discipline and talent and they didn't like that? I get why Bo and Guerrero would look elsewhere as seniors, but the young guys? If that's the case maybe it's best they left.

But then that begs the question if COA was pretty lax, then why did all of Heath's guys leave when COA came in?

Looking at the record number of kids transferring from all over College BB, it's hard to explain what's going on.

Are the ones leaving getting to play right away because they can claim that the head coach got fired (as in they don't have to sit out a year)?

Not anymore. That NCAA will no longer allow men's basketball players who transfer from one Division I school to another to apply for a waiver and become eligible immediately unless they're graduate transfers. I really don't like that rule which is unfair to the student athlete imo.

I do wonder about it. Was it admin, fan support, bad memories, indian burial grounds?

Not sure what the reasons are but may be the same ones that held xCOA back from being able to recruit as effectively as a "great" recruiter should be able to .... still looking at you, Indian burial grounds.

Or your father, the coach, is fired ....

It's possible they were told their schollie wouldn't be renewed, and were therefore asked to leave.

So who would have made that incredibly stupid decision, MH or JG?
