This is what I want CCS to say to all the players and recuits.

 

If you want to play football for USF, then:

Don't smoke pot, Nor tobacco. Both make you a worse athlete

Don't drink: Especially if you're under 21,  but anyways it makes you a worse athlete

Don't hang out with girls - it makes you a worse athlete

Cut your dammed hair, pull up your dammed pants, and shave that carp off your face

You're representing your school.

Don't like it? Fine, go play elsewhere.

maybe strong has a learned a little from the texas experience

this guy is so well respected in the field

this gig means more to strong than to usf as this may be his last chance

desperation is a great motivator

i believe he will take usf to another level of success

the talent level will skyrocket

this is what i had envisioned 20 years ago. i am happy to finally see it

Last I checked, smoking weed is illegal in Texas. If you can't respect the culture of the program, then you will be let go by the program. I get disgusted every time I hear the pro-pot argument for athletes and how it's not bad for them. If it's illegal, you're breaking the law. If you're breaking the law and you get caught, there are consequences for your actions. How hard of a concept is that to grasp.

It's no different than underage drinking or drinking of age and getting a DUI. You break laws, you SHOULD be punished by the law and hopefully your coach has the balls to punish you for the sake of the program. As we all know, many football players aren't fully grounded when they get to college (similar to many college students). There's nothing wrong with some tough love by your coach - they do promise your parents the world when they're recruiting you.

It only takes one cancer on a team to ruin a season. Unfortunately, not all football players are leaders off the field. Some of your most talented players on the field are followers and easily persuaded in their personal time - and one cancer can destroy someone else's career quite quickly. I've seen it when I was playing here and I don't want this talented team to have the same issues we had back in the day.

I hate to say you're right (especially with the girl's comment), but it's very true. Instead of saying hanging out with girls, maybe utilize some caution around them.
