He may not work for USF, but don't fool yourself. Administration perceives him to be a community leader and there's a reason he always seems to be involved somehow in big USF decisions, notwithstanding the fact that he has no direct ties to USF (other than his son being on the roster briefly).

when I saw that Dungy public endorsement the first thing I thought of is how he was involved in your Big12 pitch & why he would get involved in trying to sway Oregon to take your Coach

Kiffin is interviewing at Houston today. I suspect he would take that job before the USF job.

I get Dungy is helping a fellow African American role model do better, but it still leaves a bad taste in mouth. I think of Dungy I think of Tampa. But at the end of the day I don't know how much influence he really has. Oregon will do what is best for them above anything else. They will listen much more closely to prominent boosters before Mr. Dungy.

Houston is the best job in the AAC right now. They have the location, very high money boosters for a G5, and consistent success across 3-4 different coaches.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Multiple outlets reported that Purdue has reached an agreement with Western Kentucky coach Jeff Brohm to become its next head football coach.

If they have not picked Coach T after the interview I cant imagine they are going to do it now.

I agree with everything you say, which is why I think Tom Herman is the most overrated coach to land a dream gig since Al Golden.
