15 months ago virtually everyone wanted him fired.  Today he's a traitor.  What a world.

Go Bulls!

There really shouldn't be any hard feelings. He's resurrected a moribund program. We were on our deathbed in so many ways with an empty cupboard. Now we are on the upswing and have some talent. The coaching world isn't like most other sectors, and you don't find George Bailey's nowadays. Has he done everything, no, but he has accomplished more than most on here thought he would given the way he started. If he goes I wish him nothing but the best going forward, but should we meet in the field I hope we completely dismantled his team.

The loudest mouths may have wanted him fired but that's a far cry from "virtually everyone."

B3, even I  was called names for defending him and the changes in our culture I  was pointing out he was making. It was  virtually everyone.

No, it wasn't. You were not some lone beacon of light. "Virtually everyone" is pretty much all encompassing. The usual malcontents were probably calling for his head but most were doing the rational thing and waiting for the year to play out.

To be fair, CWT saved his head coaching career last season. He may have been already fired if he was coaching at a big program like Bama if he would have started the first two years like he did at USF. CWT is smart in that he knows how fast things can change in the coaching profession. I don't blame him or any other coach for going after bigger paydays if the opportunity is there. If CWT leaves I will thank him and congratulate him for being the 1st USF head football coach in history to not get fired but to leave for a bigger program such as Oregon. USF fans should feel the same.

Really?? Not even have an intelligent dialogue with him about it. Hear his thoughts?

I guess I can understand that reaction from a parent of a kid that has no ties to USF, but an alumni or fan slamming the door in the face of a Bulls coach seems hypocritical in itself.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
