Virtually everyone in our country is a free agent.  I learned long ago a hard lesson about loyalty.  I'm loyalty to my wife and two daughters.  Never a job or company.  I don't care how long you've been somewhere if your resume is not updated and you're not networking and positioning yourself  you're a fool.

Go Bulls!

Its always about the $, nothing wrong with that. If CWT can make more then more power to him. I still bet he stays but CFB has been pretty crazy lately.

Just one more year, that's all I want.

THIS!!

Ok hopefully he knows he will be at USF for a long time if he wants.   His kids could have a very stable environment by going to the same HS for 4 yrs.

Taking OR job is a gamble. He could be looking for a job in three yrs.  This could just be a ploy for a bigger raise from USF...hopefully.

CWT is a good coach but I do remember him on the sidelines looking clueless. However recruiting may be what turned WKY and SF programs around. Mack and Q could have won 7-8 with a mediocre coach. WKY had an NFL caliber QB last yr too.

Anyway If Tags goes 10-2 next season he will not be in Tampa unless USF drops some big cash. And he really likes being in Tampa Bay.

You don't have to be in a BCS conference to be loyal. But even if you do, Alabama is clearly a better job than USF. Yet, CJL stayed.

So you see, it does follow.

No, it doesn't. Taggart has no shot at reaching the pinnacle of his profession at USF. Leavitt, did. That's the lack of analogy, right there. It has nothing to do with loyalty.

And yes, Leavitt had an offer from Alabama that he kept in his desk, I believe.

He'd be a fool not to hold a meeting at the request of Oregon. That's a really short-list destination job (NFL included). Without question he'll parlay that interview into more $ at USF.

He got that offer well before we entered the Big East.

I wish coaches would at least be honest then, instead of giving us coach speak or "lies" about how much they like it here, how they are not looking to move, etc. etc.  Just man up and say that while this is a good opportunity for you, if a better one comes along, you will pursue it.  The end.  Enough of the charades and lies.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
