Guys if Willie leaves Gruden will be out next coach; loaded team in the Tampa area primed for a big year. Sound familiar?

In all seriousness though if Taggart is gone I think we need to give Larry Scott a shot as this could be a place he would stay long term.

I agree. Now that the program is in a better place than when CSH left, I'd like to try to find someone who might like to stay notwithstanding our G5 status. Scott might be that guy.

I actually thought Taggart would want to stay here.  USF stuck with him when he was on the verge of getting canned.  Guess I was wrong.

So much for the coach speak about being home.  All a sham.  I guess we are a stepping stone after all.  It sure didn't take long for Taggart to be chasing jobs after the season ended.  Why can't he be satisfied with coaching his hometown team into a national power.  If he's the coach he thinks he is, then he can do it.  Why do coaches have to be chasing the next job every year.  A long time ago, established, well respected coaches used to stay at one school a long time.

He's not getting the job. Despite succeeding in a couple of (rather) lousy situations, there are better options than Taggart for Oregon. I'm guessing they give the job to PJ Fleck (WMU). And Taggart's going to get a nice, fat raise/extension to his contract for his troubles.

Then next year, rinse and repeat.

For all of his faults, CJL was at least loyal. Miss that.

Sheesh the guy can interview , it's not like there's a a game he should be game planning for yet. Just cause a guy gets the call and meets the AD doesn't mean he received an offer or will accept that offer.

Non sequitur. CJ Leavitt coached in a BCS Conference.

You don't have to be in a BCS conference to be loyal. But even if you do, Alabama is clearly a better job than USF. Yet, CJL stayed.

So you see, it does follow.
