A few thoughts,

More local corporate support. How many of the top 100 employers in the Tampa area are part of the USF family? How many distribute tickets to staff and family members?

We should own Hillsborough public schools and offer all students and family packages to come out to the games. I have not seen a family promotion in years. Student I.D. gets free hotdog and soda, or something along those lines...

Have we tried to cross promote with other pro teams in town? I have not seen any sign of USF at BUCS, Lightning or Rays before.

I can go on and on, but we have certainly NOT tried it all, or even put our best foot forward when it comes to new avenues to help promote USF football. It's going to be a long climb back up to relevance and growth in our own community, and certainly more so on a national level. We just need to keep growing the effort, and building on success. No quick fix on the horizon. NO OCS anytime soon, and people who say we need to "get out of this conference" are kidding themselves, no lifeboat is coming!! P5 will get smaller in the future, not bigger...

USF Football has a great future ahead of itself. It's just not going to be easy to grow as it once was, the perception of our program took a hit, and it will be a hard road ahead to fix... but dam, don't give up or call for USF to "Shut football down" because attendance is low today... Think about what it could be in 5-10 years with a successful, turned around program.

WE WILL BE OK!

Go Bulls!!

I'm not alumni and when I decided to be a fan in 1996 it had nothing to do with wins or opponents.

I am there Thursday, Friday or Saturday to see THE BULLS Play!

I am shocked that after 20 years alumni hasn't turned into many fans.

NEVER forget our first game ... excitement level equal to WVU Victory.

Go BULLS !!!

This. Not just some of it, all of it. Build partnerships, extend outreach and increase engagement. Although I think a pre game concert of sorts would work better than post.

Thanks.  I think both can work, but post game makes folks stay (also close entry at some point to make people show up on time).

Can we add water to you, Gizmo? :D We need more ET's; I just don't know the exact way to reach them. If I did, I could be making bank marketing for college athletics.

OK...since it didn't have anything to do with wins/opponents...was it because USF was within driving distance? You had plenty of opportunity prior to '97 to hitch your wagon to U of CF (being within walking distance of Lakeland). What made you NOT sign on with those folks?

I think the absence of pre-football alumni speaks volumes. And remember, since day one we were on an upward trajectory...whether moving from IAA independent to  IA, then getting into a conference, and finally making it to the Big East. The subsequent downward spiral cost a lot of "casual fans", but that small core of die-hards stuck around - even after winding up in the G5(AAC). But maybe this is not shocking. Maybe it's to be expected. Remember that first game...a full stadium....and then, the second game...lots of available seating.

I honest-to-god have no idea how we're gonna get more people to shell out for season tickets.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
