And did we like the ending?  In the above I would swap Navy and Tulane as Navy has to play Air Force every year. BYU?  Other than the brand recognition they would bring to the conference, meh.

Boise aint movin just give up on that.  Now if BYU joined the MW then the Americans status as tallest midget could be in jeopardy.

Good point about switching Navy with Tulane.  2 of Navy's out of conference games would be Army and Notre Dame so that would free up another game by moving them due to Air Force and the Commander in Chief Trophy.

BYU instead of Boise 

No San Diego State

Leave Memphis in the west

Add Army to the east

Yes, we know. But it's possible that Aresco may attempt to negotiate a new TV deal with certain additional teams, now that the immediate threat from the Big XII has subsided. Air Force, Colorado State, and Army might make more in the American. And as suggested by Dan Wolken, BYU may have reason to join a conference, particularly one on an upward trajectory.

It would be nice to do some hunting, instead of being the hunted, for a change. And we seem to be the undisputed sixth best conference in the country right now - picking up some of these schools (in particular BYU) could help us with a push for a P6 designation.
