Davis was a better receiver. Adams is a really good football player in the perfect scheme for someone with his speed

I'm not sure how one would really base this on any sort of fact, but I am of the opposite opinion.

Or it could be that he is playing in a much better offensive system, with better coaches, a better offensive line, and better skill players around him.

That's not to say I wasn't high on Dre, or that it was easy to produce during his tenure. I just think Adams works harder and has accomplished a lot in the little time he has had here.

Congrats RA!  Keep churning the receiving yards.

This.

Adams seems to have the right attitude and work ethic. He also seems mentally tougher than Dre was.

I have to think it was tough for Davis, knowing the quality of QBs during most of his tenure was mediocre.

I will say this, and I could be wrong, but I think Davis was better at the jump or traffic balls.  My only knock (and it's a slight one) is that if a ball is tightly contested, Adams rarely makes the catch.  What he does better than anyone here that I can recall, is create space and just take off in the open field.

Davis is a better WR to me while Adams is the better overall football player. His speed will get him to the next level.

Short yardage Im throwin to Davis.  If I want a TD anywhere on the field and theres a bit of space its Adams all day.  Davis can make freakish catches while Adams you just cant catch.  Davis has shown better hands and Adams has elite speed.  Very different playing styles and strengths.

Idk I just feel like Davis had better hands. It seemed to me that he made better catches . He had a lot less talent around him and the teams he played on were not good so he sometimes just wouldn't show up which is a shame. Adams is a good all around player, but most of his touches are bubble screens, end arounds and streak routes. He makes use of his speed and athleticism more so than his hands

You make a great point about the talent around Davis.  He definitely stood out because he had inferior talent around him and it does suck for him that he played on some BAD USF teams.

As for Adams mostly doing bubble screens, end arounds, etc ... that really shouldn't be held against him because that's the offense we run.  CWT has said before this offense is tailored around QF's strengths, not Adams, Mack or anyone else.  That last TD we had against ECU showed Adams runs crisp routes and he has burning speed.  I think he has great hands too.  Davis may have had the route running ability and the hands but he didn't have anywhere near the speed of Adams.   I definitely think Rodney has a pretty decent future on Sunday football if he gets the chance.
