We go 3-0 were in the 25-30 range depending on who loses in front of us. I only care about rankings because it will boost local interest in the program and help B12 maybe. Other than that it's pretty pointless since our chances of getting to playoffs are like 1% anyways lol.

From 2007 - 2009, USF got the benefit of the doubt. We didn't have to "prove" anything.

In 2016, USF has to prove itself.

Early rankings are a complete joke.  Coaches have their admins fill out the ballot.  Some idiot even voted Clemson as the #1 team after almost losing to Troy this week.  Total farce.

Only if FSU lost to L'ville. If we beat Syracuse, we'll enter in the low 20's, high teens. FSU could be ranked #1 going into our game if undefeated. There's no way we jump them unless we totally annihilated them. If they lose to L'ville and we beat them, there is a possibility we'd come out ranked higher.

How the hell do we get AP votes in the pre-season poll, have 2 blowout wins and get zero votes the first 2 weeks?  Were there that many teams behind us that won bigger or more impressively that didn't wash with those who have lost in front of us?
