I'm not condoning cheating, but it's naive to think all the big time programs don't cheat in some way. They're just better at it and/or generate enough interest and dollars to get away with it.

This hire was terrible from day 1.

Heath played slow ball and defensive ball because he didn't have the shooters; he couldn't recruit enough of them.

The staff opened it up from day 1. Well, when you don't have the players like UK has, you get your lunched handed to you. The recruiting was supposed to be there, as there are no excuses. We have facilities now.

Year 1. Nobody counts it because it's a transitional year. Year 2. It's a year where the talent is planted for the future. Year 3. You've got to get to the NIT or show some kind of dramatic progress.

So far, year three hasn't started; we have to give the staff year three. And there have been some setbacks with the rules and the recruits.

But you know what? Who do you think runs the show? It's that lady with the sailboat. She makes the calls.
