Introducing The Daily Stampede's Seats for Soldiers Fundraiser

Hey all- I'm Ryan Smith. You may know me from Twitter (@RyanSmithWrites) or various other USF places; I've been hopping around writing for USF sites (Bulls247, SB Nation) for quite a few years now.

For those of you that haven't seen yet, I'm organizing a fundraiser for USF's fantastic Seats for Soldiers program, which provides free season tickets for local soldiers and veterans. It's a tremendous way to support both our football team-- packing RJS couldn't be more important with Big 12 expansion looming-- and our troops. It's a win-win!

After just one day, we're already over 15% of the way to our goal of $6,000 (which would provide season tix for 50 soldiers/vets). 100% of this is going to the program- we're not touching a penny.

Thanks so much for your time and please consider donating! Even $5 helps immensely; if everyone reading this gave that much, we'd exceed our goal within the day. This is a cause that's very near and dear to my heart on so many levels, and the way that USF fans have rallied in support behind it has been amazing.

Hey Ryan, me.  We are currently doing that as well through USF.  Our football tailgate events provide tickets at no cost and are distributed by student veterans services

Always love your writing and news on Twitter and the interwebs. This is a fantastic plan that I how can get a lot of traction amongst the fan base and department. I'm involved in a project with veterans telling their stories to an open audience next weekend and will love to tell them that USF is very supportive and point them out to this kind gesture.
