Typically I agree but when these "experts" don't do their homework and at least find what the conference afiliations are for the bowls (as in this case) they are a waste of time.

Not quite sure how you can have USF in a NY6 game and have FSU winning the CFP.  Only one of those two can happen. In order for USF to even have a possibility to make a NY6 game we have to beat FSU, thus having FSU out of the CFP picture...

You can get to the CFP with a loss (or two)... as long as you are P5

I understand that, I just don't see FSU making the CFP with one loss to a non P5 school.

The FSU game is irrelevant to some degree for USF to play NY6 game. As long as we win our conference with one or no loses that will probably put us ahead of Boise.

If we beat FSU, as long as we play well we should be ranked or the winner of our conference, which will make the loss not as bad for FSU. Once you are ranked, you are ranked and the victory is over a ranked team. Now if we end up sucking after beating FSU then they may not make it. As for us, all we have to do is win and be the highest ranked no P5 team. If we are to make the playoffs, it’s impossible w/o  beating FSU. If we beat them they can still make the playoffs.

They will if that non-p5 school wins every game and the conference (and gets that New Years Six invite)
