Honestly that's a very fair assessment from the outside looking in. FSU should have the better talent top to bottom, especially in depth.

But one thing that rarely gets mentioned is QF as a dual-threat. That DL isnt going to be able to pin their ears back and rush the passer in a traditional sense, maybe even forcing Derwin to spy as opposed to being a wild card. USF has to take advantage and have the game plan of their lives to make an upset happen; but one thing Jimbo is great at is making adjustments at the half. Even if the game is tied or USF is up, he will study what he saw and find ways around it.

Looking forward to that ole miss game, we will learn a lot about Frenchy in that game.

lets take a look on how Huston beat FSU.

Francois has an amazing arm with great accuracy. He does stare down receivers though and goes through progressions slowly. He will throw some serious picks this year and if it weren't for his all world o-line, he would be a permanent fixture in the ground. Dude will develop nicely, just not expecting that much this year.

FSU guy makes some good points but I think it will be closer than 34-17.

They just suspended QB Malik Henry indefinitely. They may have some depth issue at that position.

Okay, so they survived almost taking a beating from a non-Alabama SEC team on a national stage. I'm sure their fans saw their season flashed before their eyes.

Here are my thoughts:

(1) Last year, most penciled us in as getting slaughtered up in Tallahassee. Well, we played a helluva game! We just didn't have the depth to keep up in the second half.

(2) It's Florida players vs. Florida players, so whatever edge they may have over other teams, it's minimized when they come into town. Plus, it will be a packed stadium and our players will be jacked up to play those free-shoe grabbing and free-crab eating clowns! (That's trademarked!)

(3) We will have our offense tuned up by this game!

GO BULLS!

We will do better than Ole Miss did I believe. Ole Miss QB was a statue in the second half... He couldn't leave the pocket, just kept collapsing on him.  Flowers will handle FSU pressure much better, and our depth at running back and using our playmaker Johnson will help keep FSU defense off of Flowers.

On defense I really hope we can cover better than Ole Miss too, they were leaving receivers wide open, FSU didn't even need Cook to win. FSU's QB looks solid, mobile and was accurate passing to open receivers.

I think FSUs offensive line will outmatch our D line so we need really good play from our line backers to plug running lanes and also cover receivers.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
