I am posting this now in order to let people know about this upcoming event, in case someone wants to attend. We went for a day last year and enjoyed ourselves. Just like then, 2016 has a very strong field. We finished 4th in 2015.

The third annual Valspar Collegiate Invitational, presented by Insperity, will be held March 20 – 22, 2016. This 54-hole stroke play event will feature the strongest field in any collegiate event in the nation. Participating teams are- Florida, Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Lamar, Houston, Illinois, SMU, UCLA, South Florida, Georgia Tech, Kent State and Texas A&M.

Floridian National Golf Club would like to thank Valspar, Insperity, as well as the club membership for helping make this event the most esteemed collegiate event in the nation.

USF is currently ranked 16/18/18 in the three major golf polls and is considered one of the hottest teams in the country this spring with two wins and a second place finish in three events.

Mama, was the first round cancelled today?  No scores listed and can only find pairings for tomorrow.

I'm not sure. Golf Stats now says 3/21-3/22.

The press release above had said it was 3/20-3/22.

We are paired with UF and FSU for the first round tomorrow.

Not a great start to the day.  Currently USF is in 11th place out of 15 teams.  We are 11 shots off the lead right now.

Looks like it's 36 holes today.  Bulls just teed off for their 2nd round.  Little better start, now up to 8th place.

We're making a run!  3-under for the second round today and now tied for 5th, but still 12 strokes behind Texas.
