When the offense was clicking we won.  I don't remember the defense winning any games for us.  We could not stop the run at navy or Florida state.  Western Kentucky carved us up like a turkey.  Maryla

Our linebackers are too slow and can't drop backin coverage to save their lives...I think trading one of them in for a speedy corner works better against spread style teams.

I don't like this at all. Between our roster and recruits we have way more talented DBs that need to be on the field than we do LBs. Switching to the 4-3 would decrease the talent on the field and hurt us against the glut of spread offenses in the AAC.

I mean we have 3 solid linebackers in Cherry, Sanchez, and Harris but after that we don't have much depth, so I agree that we should stick with the 4-2-5 scheme.

I think if woodie can run the 4-2-5 our players will only get better at it and also physically this year and agree that is the way to go.

As you point out our talent also suits it.

Could run 4-3 easily  I would be for it.  Its what USF defense was known for.  Lots of LBs are on the roster.  Jimmy bayes danny thomas josh black vincent jackson cmon

Jackson and Black are basically DE's at this point playing the Bull spot....

Basically they look like midgets next to a DE though when i observed them in practice.  Maybe they are effective at that position but we have no proof of that yet.
