Maybe, just maybe we could find some correlation between OCS and bowl attendance numbers after removing or negating the variables of distance, ranking, national following, alumni numbers, etc.  Just that would be really hard to do. Proving a causation would be nigh impossible. Normalizing all the variables between schools for such a hypothetical study gives me nightmares.
