You don't go back to your ex-wife when things don't work out with your new one.

one of the biggest Leavitt fans but I realize he got fired for his late season collapse not his off field conduct.

You do if you want to end up on Springer.

Good luck to him with whatever he chooses.  WKU is doing just fine without him.  So will we. Go Bulls!

I don't think it's wrong for him to interview though. Coaches everywhere do this, or at least entertain offers (Stoops, and indirectly Jimbo) lots of times just to kick the tires, leverage their own team, etc. And if they offered him, and more than doubled his salary (I'd guess USC would pay him somewhere between 2.5 and 3) well.. he'd have to have some serious loyalty to USF, a program that (rightly) was ready to dismiss him not so long ago, to decline an SEC job.

Mario Cristobal remained loyal to FIU when Rutgers came calling, and then got canned a year later. I

This is the outcome when you have success at a smaller program, but it's a good thing if bigger schools are considering our coach. While I'm not his biggest fan, I don't want to see him leave now either, but if by some miracle he gets that job, I think USF could go in a number of directions and be fine (I'd get Lincoln Riley on the phone ASAP)

I highly doubt he gets offered...now I don't mind if bigger schools come knocking next year that will mean we had a very successful season.

Usf at some point is going to have to offer some good money 2.5 million plus a year if they want to maybe keep him for awhile and if they could even afford that.

If he left Allen could be a good HC if we got a solid OC hired.

Agreed- while I do not think they should pull a Woolard and immediately offer him a lot of money, I'd probably assure him if the past half season are an indication of how things will be from here on, we will talk extension next season
