I'm hoping that he is interviewing more out of respect and not that interested in leaving. on the other hand, can you blame the guy after the entire fan base wanted him fired after the McNease loss?!?!?

Taggs stays here and they hire Rich Rod IMO

I'm right there with most of you on Rich Rod, Dykes, and Schiano. But Willie Taggart is a **** good football coach.

A lot of people who don't follow our program don't know what we've seen. They see 2, 4 and now 8 wins, and assume all is awesome.  Smarter people will do the deep dive.

Yes its only 8 wins but we are beating the snot out of people right now. We have not looked this good since 2007.... and for the first time in our HISTORY we are ending the season strong because of our depth.

Two turnarounds, Jim Harbaugh family and coaching tree, Taggart has a real shot at landing this. Look, these places don't waste time interviewing people. And coaches don't interview for fun. These are million-dollar plus gigs and are serious processes.

I give it 30% that he's gone. He certainly has a better shot than Greg Poo-ano!

OMG I am going to lose it lol.  Can you imagine what would happen if that loss were to occur at an SEC school?  He is going to need thicker skin than that if he is as soft as you are all saying.

Have you ever heard sports talk in a big name college town?  Tampa is totally lightweight even when it comes to pro sports.

Also, I was there.  No the entire fan base did not want him fired.  It was a shocking realization that Skip left us with nothing in the tank.

true story, the sec fan forum would be ruthless, even with the record cwt had this year.

Two choices for these P5 schools,  retread from P5 or G5,  or young up and coming head coach from G5 or hot coordinator from the P5.

Taggart is a high risk/high reward type hire. Coaches are like Stocks, they trade either at a high PE or they pay you a nice safe dividend. Taggart is a tech stock with great technology but no earnings. I would not be surprised if somebody buys calls on this guy...

Fingers crossed for one more year!

Yeah all I am saying is let's maybe pump the brakes on the poor Willie hurt feelings narrative.  It's blowing my mind.  I say our fans were awesome to stick around through those lows.

By the way, Tommy Tuberville was an SEC household name (1999-2008) and still garners a lot of respect. When USF destroyed his Bearcats, that opened eyes.

I wouldn't write this interview off so fast...

good point, having the Harbaughs as a reference is not a bad thing!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
