So we are comparing a senior who has had a lot of opportunities to improve over the course of his career to a true soph?

It would stand to reason that Bench has reached his potential while Flowers has not.

Yes, because all people reach their potential by age 22.

Not sure who is complaining...

All I know is that I don't care where one is in their "potential", just want the best QB playing in the right situations NOW. Not 2 years ago or the second game of 2014 but this coming Saturday. The one who gives us the best shot to win from here on out. That is who I want in the game and it could very well be both at this point in time.

BH you are absolutely correct.

And I'm sure that if Flowers struggles, Bench will have a shot. But at least for now Flowers hasn't done anything to lose his starting job. 60% completions and 4 passing TDs in 2 games is something none of our QBs have done in many years

To me QF has done an excellent job in elusiveness and poise, and an okay job at passing. Bench has looked pretty sharp at throwing, okay at poise, and about average at elusiveness. There's just gonna be trade-offs, so honestly I think we stick with Flowers unless we find we just can't run on them.

While he hasn't done anything to lose the job, he certainly hasn't done anything to instill any confidence in him. At this point, he is a poor passer who can extend plays to keep them alive. His pass attempts per game and routes run show the staff is gradually moving him along to build his confidence. Not that he has weapons at WR and TE to be a 300 yard a game type guy anyways, but he needs to be more accurate on his limited attempts.

LOL.  No.

Um, yes. Not sure who told you there are people in the locker room questioning who should be the starter, but they're wrong, because right now there isn't. It's simply message board banter.
