But had to get past FAMU first...

This will bring back older arguments, but really....if you had to choose defeating FSU on Saturday or winning the AAC championship?

Which would it be?

Complete reversal from the first time the question was asked .... conference championship.

Beat FSU and getting to a bowl game would be nice

If we could only do one win conference.

That would mean we won like 9 plus games.

I would prefer beating FSU for a number of reasons.

  • Both are unlikely to happen, so I would take the immediate win.
  • We are heavy underdogs.
  • They are a top 10 team coming off back-to-back undefeated regular seasons. (When was the last time they lost at home?)
  • We would be 2-1 versus FSU and 2-0 at the Doak
  • Bragging rights between friends and family that are FSU alums
  • We have a better shot at winning the conference title than beating FSU on Saturday.
  • AAC is a weak conference,
  • Does the AAC champion get a BCS Bowl?

FSU? Been there done that ( :icon_drink:)

We could beat FSU and still finish 2-10. Winning the conference means in all likelihood we won 6 games in conference, giving us at least 7 wins (and that's if we don't beat anybody else out of conference). I'll take 7 wins, a conference championship and a bowl game.

I would hope for both...but think winning the AAC would bode better for the team. That would mean sustained winning which we would be a great accomplishment.

Been there, done that.  All these years and we still haven't won a conference title.  The time is nigh.

Beating FSU would be fun... but winning the AAC is what USF needs to do if it ever wants to impress other conferences.  Plus it will shut up that school to the east.

We need the juice and attention right now. Winning @ FSU would give us that. It would help attendance at home. The ACC championship, nice but I'd rather have the instant gratification right now.
