I'm thinking that Flowers is going to have to be the emotional leader, at least for this game. He knows how to handle raw emotion, and will have to show poise and keep the younger guys in the game too. Don't know the depth of the impact Watson's death is having on the team, but I think if anyone can lead the in that situation it would be Flowers.

Thank god it's not White.

They very well could have been, but I think he is more or less referring to the tremendous amount of personal loss and tragedy that QF has experienced throughout his life. He could relate to anyone on that issue and knows how to begin to deal with the associated emotions.

Not about them being tight, but who can best lead during an emotional period. I have no idea what his impact on the team has been, I assume that a good number of people on the knew him in some capacity. I all I know is that he was a recent football playing grad, who by some accounts had been around the team here and there. I also know death can be hard to handle, and that if you haven't been around it you could be in for a ride. In that way I think Flowers can be a resource to the team.

All those guys are from the 305... they were all pretty tight last season.  He posted some stuff about Watson so I'm going to assume they might have been pretty tight.

Love it. Captain Kirk is easily my favorite character from Dr. Who.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
