The Orlando school is actually doing better than us if you look at those numbers.

You've got quite the eye for numbers to uncover that.

Hopefully his first clue was this:  "UCF in Orlando and USF in Tampa ranked 56th and 57th, respectively ..."

Especially, when you realize that they are bringing in MORE revenue with LESS expenses than USF.

UCF generated $49.7 million with $45.3 million in expenses, while USF generated $48.3 million with $46.8 million in expenses.

I'm certain that also factored into the 56th and 57th ranking.

Their expenses should be about $10 million higher .... and our expenses would be a lot closer to theirs if we weren't paying numerous ex coaches. The POINT, as stated before, is that we're in the midst of the worst era of our main revenue source while they're in their best era. The fact that we appear to be this close is a good sign when we get things turned around ...

Whoa. I didn't know Warren Buffett was on this board.

Being UCF pumps out hordes more alumni, I would think they should be ahead in the money category, especially with some of their sports doing pretty well recently. Money won't tell the whole story though, so even if USF is getting some revenue from the Big East split, the fact the numbers are so close is a good thing. If USF gets their sht together in football, the revenue would increase some more.

It would be interesting to see the makeup of both donor bases. If one school has more donors, but they all donate less, or if USF's donor base is holding back due to performance reasons (would seem possible reading this board and how many people are ticked off and not paying until so and so is good).

A: Would you like fries with that sir?

It doesn't take much these days ...

Just need to have a good mustache and appetite for turning sports coverage into a gossip column....and you will go far! See Brett McDouche...

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
