Dayton is up 44-43 at half. How surprising is this

I'm not sure the women's tournament produces much unit money that trickles down to USF, each UConn win might be as little as $50 to $100 to USF in unit money.

USF needs UConn to win, so we can advertise our home game against the defending national champion, and when we beat UConn, we can say we beat the defending national champion.

By the way, credit Jose for going the Dayton route. Dayton hung with UConn for a half by matching their scoring and not trying to play lock down defense. For those who didn't follow USF WBB closely, Jose altered his lineup and replaced 2 starters for better scorers, he concluded to hang with UConn we need to score a ton of points. The idea was right, it was just too much to ask.

Good to see UConn win and carry the AAC flag for us! Good luck to them in Tampa!

As good as our ladies BB team was this year, if we were still in the BE with Rutgers, Notre Dame, UL and even Depaul, would we have been slighted again?

I think the way Jose scheduled the OOC games this year was brilliant. Even against UCONN i think these ladies showed they could hang with anyone.

Next year's Women's BB team could be the best team that USF put on court/field in any sport ever.

That softball team that made the college World Series was special. I think Jose will have to get USF into Elite Eight to make a good argument

Key word there is "Could" Almost everyone is back next year and we would expect to see some growth from the freshmen contributors like Ferreira and hopefully Jespersen.

Barring injury and/or some other bizarre issue (which always seems to bite us in the butt), that team has the potential to be as special as any USF team.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
