Among the four free agents selected before this spring's draft: rising sophomore quarterback Quinton Flowers, who will lead the White team. Four months after a mostly shaky collegiate debut last fall, Flowers has shown crisper passes and more compatibility with the Bulls' new spread, no-huddle approach. In USF's abbreviated free agency window, he was the only quarterback picked. "It's fire," wideout Ryeshene Bronson said of Flowers' velocity. "I like it." Biggest question now is, will Flowers be Willie Taggart's top choice as well? Barring a meltdown in today's glorified scrimmage, which Taggart said will not in itself determine the No. 1 guy entering the summer, all signs say yes.
