Loaded field with 8 top 25 teams. A good showing by USF may move them into the top 10.

OK, now I'm really confused. What's up with the "Thru" column?

The only explanation that makes sense to me is that they've split up the foursomes so no team has more than one player in each foursome?

Even more proof that college golf is just a collection of talented individuals playing alone (like gymnasts or hammer tossers) than a true team like basketball or curling?

Sometimes there could be two USF players in a foursome, but that is out of necessity. Usually, like here, USF players will be on sequential holes. Currently they are playing holes 9-12.

Was more proof needed?

For people not familiar with the team scoring, it's pretty simple. Each team (in most events like here) has five players and only the best four scores are "counted" each day, to calculate the team score. Usually, there are three rounds for a tournament and the team with the lowest score at the end wins. So, it is a team event, but the individual players have their actual daily scores counted to calculate their total scores and the lowest one at the end is the individual leader for the tourney.

1 stroke behind FSU at the end of round 1. Not bad but it looks like FSU had a strong back 9 to take the lead.
