I'm in your town, can I buy you a beer?

Anybody else in Louisville this week?

There is a Bourbon Fest of some kind around Feb 20th that the Mrs and I are going up for.  2 nights of Bourbon tasting, lectures, etc.  Hope the weather cooperates. Being held at the Performing Arts Center.

Drinking? In Kentucky? On Sunday?

Good luck.

Lots of cool bars on Main Street though. The Evan Williams Experience is kinda cheesy, but the tasting is well done.

Huh?

We had our group dinner and happy hour at O'Shea's or something at Main and 2nd. Plenty of drink was flowing around the table...

Drinking in KY is fine if you stay in Louisville. It's when you venture into the smaller towns that things get wonky (read: Campbellsville, etc). I like Bardstown Road for food and drinks. A friend of mine has a restaurant up there and it's surrounded by great competitors.

What is the name of the place?  We fly in on a Thursday night and will be going out once we land. Usually go to Bourbons Bistro but could be persuaded to try something new if the Bourbon flights and/or selection is good.

If you go, ask for the co-owner Kyle Staggers and tell him that Ryan S. from USF sent you -- they'll make sure your food is especially good. He's a Bull himself, so you're supporting good people.

Bardstown Road in generally has some really awesome spots when it comes to food choices. I think it's the place to be in Louisville.

This.  Me and my buddy hit up a couple spots when we were in Louisville last time USF played there.  Wish I could have spent more time there.
