Our head coach needs a mentor there with him?

This is so small time.

How can you buy that as a player?

Ugh.

This is one of those hundreds of things that coaches do, where if it works out, he's a genius, if not he's a fool.

Sort of like going for 4th and 1 at your own 30.

Yep. Rich people are eccentric. Poor people are crazy.

Mentor, coaches assistant, grad assistant, talking to other coaches (Harbaugh), getting your best ideas from TBP.....it's all the same :)

Speaking of, we can only hope Harbaugh takes the MI job and all of his cronies with him.....win win for everyone.

Our $1.5 million dollar head coach is begging his old high school coach to tutor him on the fly? That is so pathetic. And people wonder why some of us are so adamant on getting rid of this joke of a coach.

Seems like a few of you are itching for the chance to grab the torches and pitch forks. Why don't we see how this yea goes, then make a decision?

Or is that too rational for you

Or we could make a logical coaching decision and hire an actual spread OC like the rest of the country would do.

That would make WAY to much sense.

Somethings telling me Weiner found out a lot in the 48hrs he was with CWT and the program.

His text say's it all:   "It feels so weird over here today."

http://www.tampabay.com/sports/college/reversal-robert-weiner-tells-usf-football-hell-stay-at-plant-high/1269457

Come on, man .... READ:

Shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, in fact, Panthers secondary coach and social studies teacher Bo Puckett conveyed as much in a seven-word text to fellow assistant T.J. Harrell:

"It feels so weird over here today."

I can't   :)

But I did gather this from the article:   "Minutes later, the weirdness proliferated."

You got me....read it to fast before my coffee to wake me up, but the point remains the same !

To hire another offensive coach means one of Reaves (QB), Lockette (RB), Dugans (WR), Stu Holt (TE/Spec. Teams) get fired and the new OC takes their position slot too.  Given how late last year's staff changes were made there still could be a change to happen on this side of the ball.

Telly and Dugans stay. The others are expendable considering how their position players have played on the field. Stop making excuses anyway. We're putting a square peg in a round hole. You're lying to yourself if you say that's not the case.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
