New defense, new offense, does CWT get 2 more years?

Next year will be the 3rd under CWT. He holds a 5-year contract (http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20121208/ARTICLE/121209628).

Apparently, it's a reset with the offense and defense.

Does this give CWT more time because it will be a "new" philosophy (1 year to install the new offense and 1 to get it working correctly)?

Where's the line in the sand and what are we looking at here in terms of minimal results?

Again, we should remember what Houston did:

Houston coach Tony Levine fired after Cougars' 7-5 campaign

“Although we are excited to play in our second straight bowl game, the expectations of our program have changed over the last five years," Rhoades said in a statement.

IMO, this alone doesn't get him another year.  Results would.  Six wins and a bowl would be my minimum standard for next year.  How the team looks in those games would also be a factor.

Bowl or bust. 3 years in, you are what your record says you are. You can only preach that potential line for so long.

I don't think the fans, or by extension, the AD would stand for another year like the past two.

Yep, that's the minimum.

No bowl game - turn in your keys to the practice facility...it's that simple. Hopefully the coaching changes make this happen.

Oh, and if it looks like 50% is the high-water mark for CWT...year five may be the end of the relationship. Imagine going 6-6 and then dropping below that...again!

8-4 (5-3), 7-5 (5-3) the last two years with all the losses except one by one score .... There must have been something else going on there.
