This is already on the other thread

I know since I also posted it another the other thread earlier but to make it easily seen I thought it deserved a thread with a subject that announced the actual "news".

Didn't mean to step on any toes but it's not like the original teaser poster of the other thread wanted to share his so called insider knowledge of the upcoming "news".   To all, here's the other thread:   http://thebullspen.com/topic/98904-there-may-be-some-news/

If someone has the power, merge the threads.

You done good posting an actual news thread. No real need to merge them.

Thanks for not merging the threads.  The actual news on the other thread is now lost in between the original ominous post and people either bashing or supporting the OP for posting it.

Yea. Lord knows there's never been a post, or news break about USF athletics, where there reporter wouldn't reveal his sources.

Why did they fire Chuck!?!?!?!?!

Because CWT wanted to fire the players and Harlan said that couldn't happen.

I feel for Paul, Chuck and Ron, I am sure they came in and did the best with the resources available to them.

Whether this decision was initiated by Taggart or by Harlan it is clear that administrative changes were needed. The end goal for football is to generate revenue which helps to fund the other sports.  Other than payments due to schools leaving the former Big East, I am not sure if USF was generating the desired revenue considering the change in conference and the diminishing play on the field. Considering that USF has paid out $3.75M through 2014 and is scheduled to pay out another $1.5M into 2017 to two former head coaches it appears that USF does not have the appetite to fire another head coach to add to the outgoing pool of former head coaches.

IMO:
Changing the OC, the DC and the Assistant head coach leads me to believe either the new DC or OC will also be the Assistant Head Coach and will more than likely be a former head coach.  Also Taggart will more than likely serve the remaining years on his contact.

Man, Chuck didn't deserve that.

But I guess when we fire taggs next year he would be out of work anyways.

Would have left Chuck, but got rid of our QB coach at the very least.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
