As we approach a highly anticipated USF basketball season, let’s look back at some of the student-athletes who got us here.  Our list of 10 essential USF basketball players may not line up perfectly with yours; discussion and debate is welcomed.

We’ll list these 10 players in no particular order.  They may or may not have huge statistics, and they may or may not have been a part of the big plays we all remember.  But because of their talent, their effort or even their timing, they provided a major influence on our USF men’s basketball program.

Voice of the Bulls

TAMPA, NOV. 19, 2014 - It’s hard to imagine a USF basketball list of any kind that wouldn’t include Charlie Bradley.  Many such lists start and stop with him.  Keep in mind as we recite his USF records, March 20, 2015 will mark 30 years since his last USF game.  The Bulls haven’t seen anyone quite like him since.

Things weren’t all that different in 1981; coaches wanted to keep great local talent home.  So when Bradley signed with the young USF program out of Robinson High, it was a big deal.

Turns out we didn’t know the half of it.

Rest of story ..... RHS, baby!

Not only did I watch him light up the dome, I watched him light up a sociology class.

All class and one-of-a-kind, CB is the Greatest. Bull. Ever.
