I posted this to the wrong thread.

Does anyone still have the game on DVR?  I recall CBS showing Taggart making what looked like a "spiking motion" from the sideline, but I can't remember what down it was when he did that.

I remember this as well.  I don't remember which play it was.  that actually may have been when Johnson got to the two, but was called back on the holding penalty.  I don't remember, but the OP is always very credible with his info.

I also remember seeing him doing what looked to be a spiking motion on one of our last 2 plays of the game. Maybe it's a signal for a play call? Obviously grasping for straws with that guess, but if he truly was asking for a spike goodness that is scary. I had it recorded but deleted it already.

Just rewatched (I DVR every game). And......................................................................................... you cant see taggart on the play. He gets the benefit of the doubt from me.

After which play is he on TV motioning for a spike?  I saw him do it once during that drive and thought to myself please don't burn a down.

Just watched it and saw him make a signal like a spike on 3rd down but there was no camera on him on the 4th down play call

I think the assertion that he was doing it on 4th down is either a mistake, or a misinterpretation.  I can't imagine CWT is stupid enough to want a spike on 4TH DOWN

I know White originally was signaling for a spike on the blast play of the game which had me screaming at the tv.

White never signaled for a spike on the last play that I saw. He was initially signaling for a hurry up ... Twirling, for lack of a better word, his hand which may have appeared to some as the spike signal.

Just watched the bullscast post game interview and Dre said the final play call was "stick" something or another and White changed it to the fade call....

I may have misinterpreted the hand signals.. it looked like he had his hands going in a sharp downward motion. He very well could have been rolling his arms in a hurry up motion though.

It must have been third down.  Even so, I wouldn't agree with a spike on 3rd.  You waste a down and give yourself only one chance to win the game.  There was plenty of time to run two more plays.  Now about that decision to run the ball on third......... :icon_drink:

Anyone who doesn't know stick routes needs to play more madden, but for reference, the following both exhibit stick routes for the primary receiver.

EVIDENCE FOR:

Taggart ran on 3rd down, which would make sense if he thought it was 2nd down, and the spike would come on 3rd.
