Sure hope the last couple of games show a team that's coming together, and not one that's just as unpredictable as it was before the season started. Stats like this mean nothing to me I guess you are forgetting to factor in all the true freshman who are playing b/c there aren't any other better options on the team. Screw the stats, if you want to understand why this team is struggling so much you have to look at all the young players who,are playing but ar nt ready. Then ask yourself WHY they have to play? Throw in that this program hasn't recruited a credible QB a since BJ Daniels...and it should become easier to understand why we struggle. Taggart inherited a dumpster fire, in a crappy conference with a fanbase that got spoiled with all the quick success. BTW, if Judy isn't happy with the team's performance perhaps she should have opened up her pocketbook a little bit more when searching for experienced assistant coaches to complement a rising young head coach....gone out and hired someone with more experience who wasn't an old retread looking for a paycheck (Butch Davis) or looking for a one year gig(Petrino). Some of Taggart's game day decisions drive me nuts but so did Leavitt's. The bottom line is you can't fire a coach every two years without making this a toxic program for prospective quality future coaches and any hope of establishing some longterm consistency and stability. 1

With the exception of RB, there are no meaningful underclassmen contributors on offense. We lose Davis, Welch, Mcfarland, Reiter and Williams on the OL. Not much proven experience stepping in to replace our main contributors on offense. That many first time players concerns me. What you see on defense this year could be what you see on offense next year. Although there is not too much further we can fall ranking wise. Even if we bring in some Jucos or the younger guys coming in at OL will still take time to adjust and gel as a unit. This is what I have been saying all along. Mack, Johnson and Swanson can't do it by themselves. Price has been largely ineffective, anyone have any idea where the productivity is going to come from? Adams has been marginal and Bronson has what? 2 catches? Maybe someone steps up, but no one on the returning roster that can has proven they are capable of stepping up. If Bronson, Clerveaux and McCants were on the field getting meaningful experience and at least contributing marginally I would feel better, but next year will be a learning curve on how to get open and how to run routes. Do we even know if they can catch any better than Welch? People keep saying we are young and to wait until next year, but I think we get even younger on offense next year Am i missing something that others are seeing? So, I decided to take a look at the stats from this year so far, and project this across the next three games. I feel that this estimated projection is acceptable since we have 9 games worth of performance statistics. This is assuming the team performs as it has for the season coming into the next 3 games (I hope they perform otherwise and turn this team around). This projection shows that we will end up with one more win (sure hope it is against UCF). Overall, our offense has shown some improvement and I think this thanks to the OL. We have given up fewer sacks, and improved rushing and passing yardage. The defense on the other hand has underperformed from 2013's stats by allowing more total yardage and points. I think the team is slightly improving, as sore as it is to watch. I hoped for a turn around year, but told myself I would be satisfied with at least 4 wins at the beginning of the season. We have a young team, and I think the offense will continue to improve. The defense on the other hand has given way too much away, and I think this is due to the DL and less aggressive play calling. The QB's have been given little pressure and allowed to sit back and pick away at our backfield. I think Taggart should get another year, and be expected to take the team above .500. The team is young, and will continue to improve. CSH took the team to the lowest level, and I think CWT is bringing in some good talent to fix it. Sorry man, I appreciate the effort, but when your very first stat line is wrong - we're 4-6 not 4-5, I didn't even bother to look at the rest of your numbers. Waste of time if you're not going to do it right...

We have to remember that while no, we haven't had any surprise wins this season we also haven't had any surprise losses. We've won the games we were supposed to win, and lost the ones we were supposed to lose. In laymans terms, we suck just as much as people think we so, but no more. Which is an improvement over last year for sure. Edited November 17, 2014 by RedBull13
