Jackson St! We beat them by 9 and we're great. HAHAHAHAHAHA. This is a 10 win team.

Emotional and unrealistic to think otherwise. You want to see a championship caliber team go see our women. Their PG (Williams) is unreal.

Go Bulls!

You're way too hard on Jackson St lol. Historically, they have the same amount of NCAA appearances as we do. If we're talking about the past 15 years, then they have more appearances than we do.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good basketball troll.

I was impressed enough with Jackson State's play yesterday that I had to look up their coach. I was surprised to find out that their coach, Wayne Brent, was coaching high school two years ago. I think this JSU squad should make some noise in the SWAC this season. They looked like a well-coached team that hustled. They had some good perimeter shooters, and their backcourt was constantly pressing both offensively and defensively. With regard to USF, we really need these early games to build team experience. As several posters have noted, we have away games against UAB and NC St. this week. Those two games will give us a more appropriate gauge for USF could do in the AAC. Without a healthy Ruben Guerrero, we're pretty slim in the front court. Cousins is prone to getting into foul trouble. I'm keeping my expectations regarding USF MBB minimal. I like what I see offensively out of this squad so far, but they'll really just need to soak up experience this season and learn to play as a squad.

This team will win no more than 10 games this year.

Fri 22 Stetson W 72-63

Early season wins. All scoring about the same as we have so far.

We don't know if we are even decent yet.

Exactly .... although, I think we have, on paper, a lot better options for outside shooting, which, if they can adapt to this level, could be the big difference over last year .... along with a fully healthy AC.

Honestly, we won't be able to really tell much about this team until conference games come around. It might get rough in a couple games here and there. But I do like what I see so far.
