I hope those sunrise teams are undefeated with all the talent on that roster.

The "Prep" team with Jahmal is 5-0

Santos is now official

USF Men's Basketball

â€@USFMBB Santos received a four-star rating from http://ESPN.com . He's from Bronx, N.Y. and plays at Sunrise Christian HS in Wichita, Kan.

Need to Know:

Santos is a four-star forward out of Bronx, N.Y. currently competing at Sunrise Christian High School in Wichita, Kan. He is 6-8, 245 pounds and averaged 11.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 14 games during the 2012-13 season at St. Raymond High School in Bronx, N.Y. In Sunrise Christian’s first game this season, Santos had 18 points and 14 rebounds in a 95-28 win.

What They're Saying:

“Luis is someone that we’ve watched and known for some time. He has a big body, great hands, is a ferocious rebounder and someone who has a physical presence. He will be a great addition to the Bulls family.â€

-Orlando Antigua, USF Men's Basketball Head Coach

“He’s really fit and strong at 6-8. He has a chance to be a really good rebounder. He’s a very athletic guy and has a great attitude. He’s got a great body and great athleticism.â€

-Kyle Linsted, Sunrise Christian High School Head Coach

part of the problem may be the ":large" tag at the end. Maybe not

Here's your pic, and the code the board uses to imbed it. If you can see the "light switch" at the upper left of the text box, you can enter the code directly

No it wasn't the "large" at the end. I had removed it and it still didn't work. I guess I'll have to insert manually the way you suggested.

Yeah, the ":large" didn't allow me to post at first with Chrome, but removing it allowed the c&p ...

Still waiting on da Silva.

Yep, but he apparently did sign.

Area athletes open early signing period with a flurry

The first day of the early signing period was an active one on the First Coast. Two dozen athletes signed national letters-of-intent with college programs, with more on the horizon.

Athletes in all sports other than football are able to sign between Nov. 12 and 19. Other schools, among them, Bolles and Providence, plan to hold their signing ceremonies next week. A glance at the area signings from Wednesday, as reported by coaches and athletic directors.

Still no USF release on Da Silva. I'm not sure why the delay, because it was reported (in a local paper I posted above) that he signed with USF on 11/12.

In any event, I'm posting this here for consideration. :)

...And when asked what his goal in this five-year contract. “Dos viajes al NCAA Tournament y un título de conferenciaâ€, dijo Antigua con una sonrisa. "Two trips to the NCAA Tournament and one conference title," Antigua said with a smile.

Quizás después de tanto, mantener los pies en la tierra no necesariamente es la mejor forma de pasar por la vida. Perhaps after all, keep your feet on the ground is not necessarily the best way to go through life.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
