Sunrise Christian (KS) 2015 G Jahmal McMurray will sign with South Florida on Wednesday at a ceremony beginning at 9:40 a.m. #USF

PF Luis Santos is at the same school. So, I expect that he will sign tomorrow as well.

Our third verbal Brazilian, PF Tulio Da Silva plays for Arlington Country Day in Florida and is expected to sign sometime in the early period (11/12-11/19) as well.

Only 5 starters in roundball, and they're putting EIGHT in D1?

Is this unprecedented? Wow.

Luis is on the Sunrise "HS" team and Jahmal is on their "Prep" team. They will likely have even more D1 signings [like Guerrero last year for us from there] during the late period, as some players need more exposure or are currently undecided.

They had a total of 15 players sign with D1 schools last year: Six from the HS team, six from the prep team and three former players who went on to JUCO and then signed with D1 schools.

I'm having trouble pasting the URL into the image box. I hit "OK" but then nothing happens. I switched over to Windows 8.1 last night. It also won't show the post I was quoting.

In any event, here is the URL to the signing day pic of J McMurray (far left) and L Santos seated next to him.

THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA ATHLETICS

Jahmal McMurray

Topeka, Ks

Sunrise Christian School

G/2

Need to Know:

A three-star recruit by Rivals.com, McMurray is a 6-0, 175-pound guard from Sunrise Christian Prep in Wichita, Kan. Prior to Sunrise, McMurray was a three-time all-state selection at Highland Park High School in his hometown of Topeka, Kan. Although his time with Sunrise has been brief, McMurray has had an impact already. On Oct. 31, McMurray had 17 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals as Sunrise Christian Prep defeated No. 19 State Fair Community College.

What They're Saying:

“He has the ability to score the ball really well. He did it a lot in high school and now in prep school he’s refining his position to become more of a point guard. He is someone we can depend on to learn from Anthony Collins and be able to step into those roles over the next few years. He will have the ability to open up the court due to his shooting ability.â€

-Orlando Antigua, USF Men's Basketball Head Coach

“He’s a high-level shooter with pretty much unlimited range. He is dangerous beyond the three-point line and he can get by you, too. He’s a blur to guard in ball screens. He makes us go. When he goes, we’re going.â€

-Luke Barnwell, Sunrise Christian Prep Head Coach
