He has LA Tech putting the hammer down on W Kentucky. Did USF pull the trigger on Holtz too soon?

No that level of football is his comfort zone. He is overmatched at anything higher. Same with Taggart. Louisville had the same thing with Kragthorpe, but was quick to make the change when needed.

what level do you think USF and the AAC is?

That's what i feared at the time--good at his level, but not going to be successful against better competition.

Good point. But we wanted to be at the next level, and now we can't even succeed in the FBS.

CWT still > CSH, but unfortunately not by much. Painful days.

In recruiting, ok. Two more wins and CSH has more wins than CWT has ever achieved. And 59 points? That's an entire season of CWT to do that on offense.

He was the beginning and reason of the downward spiral of USF football.

While Taggart has yet to get USF football to climb out of it, being the cause of the fall is much more to blame.

Who isn't a clown compared to CWT's success?

Neither looks like a guru at this point. That's utterly laughable.

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
