Calling it now. This is the year USF become national champs. Lock that bracket now! Could even be international champs with all the talent from around the world. This team has a plethora of 5* and 4*s.

 

Can't wait to see winning basketball!

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I'll keep my expectations tempered for women's basketball at USF. I hope the injury bug doesn't bite the Lady Bulls and the team is able to make some noise in the Big Dance.

Couple tidbits:

 

These are the 3 new faces to USF WBB this year, all freshman.

 

Laura Ferreira 5*- Portugal:

Named best Portuguese player playing in Portugal in 2013 and 2014 ... Also named Best Young Player playing in Portugal in 2012 ... Earned a spot on the U20 European Championship - Div.B All-Tournament Team.

 

Laia Flores 4*- Spain:

-Played basketball for the Spanish National Team since age 12 ... Captained the national team to a gold medal in the U16 tournament, and earned both a gold and a bronze medal in back-to-back seasons with the U18 team.

- Won six gold medals in the Catalonia Championship, and took home the 2014 gold medal in the Spanish Championship.

 

Maria Jespersen 3* - Denmark:

Played six years of competitive basketball on Denmark Club teams, earning All-Star Awards at the Nordic Championship all six years ... Named Scania Queen (MVP) four times, and won the Nordic Championship three times.

If the season goes as those above plan just imagine how nice it will be seeing our Lady Bulls playing in Tampa in the Final Four.    (Already bought my tickets when they were avail back in April after this past years final four).

I believe you are correct. Nevertheless, he never voted for USF #1 before.
