On the play action pass after that 15 yard run by Mack, the play was there.  The ball was underthrown and behind Adams, who then proceeded to jog into the ball as opposed to attacking the ball at its highest point.  Poor throw by White and poor technique by Adams in going after the ball.  However, the play was there for the making.

On top of the other things that have been said, when you're down big, you need to pass to try to catch up.

That is right..play clock becomes an issue.

That's barely a wink of the eye. You'll average five seconds a play. Five seconds of total effort, going all out, giving a hundred percent. You oughta be able to hold your hand in a fire that long.

If you're lucky enough to play seventy plays, that amounts to about six minutes. Six minutes of your time. Out of fifty years, six minutes doesn't seem like much. But a loser will regret it the rest of his life.

You've worked a long time for this. You've been playing since you were in the seventh grade. You go out there in front of all those people and don't give a hundred percent every play then you're cheating yourself, and your recruiters, and your parents, and your high school coach, and everybody whoever helped you. This is what you have been working toward...

In any big game there are five or six or seven key plays that will decide the outcome. If you put out for five seconds on every play, you'll get your share of those key plays. You never know when they'll come, so you have to go all out every time.

If you're reckless, and give that extra effort, and every play try a little harder, you'll see in the films on Monday that it was you who made those five or six plays that win. Play 'em jaw to jaw, and you'll win in the fourth quarter."

I feel like Taggart wants to get to tricky, we start the game off with 14 yard run and instead of sticking with that he throws a play action deep ball for no reason.

 

The idea is to not be predictable.  Could have been they might have had 8 guys in the box on that next play.  You don't run the ball then.

 

There's a lot more to football than just what you think the next best play is.

IMHO, we could possibly be more successful if we put in some plays with two and three RB's and a FB, but it's apparently not what Taggart prefers. We have some decent weapons in that regard, if utilized for maximum impact.

Exactly, there is more then one way to get the running game going.

Honestly if they would run the Touchdown Play more often we would be in much better shape.
