With Egbunu in the land of Gators, we need some aggressiveness in the paint. Assuming this kid can provide a Ron Anderson Jr.-like spark, I'd be all for offering the scholarship.

If he can't shoot, wouldn't he be more of a Rodman type?

Rodman never played for our Bulls, so I picked Ron Anderson Jr. You pick Rodman for your analogy, I'll stick with Anderson Jr. :D

Tampa's Rendaldo Balkman (played at South Carolina) seems like a similar comparison.

An unofficial visit led to South Florida’s second commitment in the Class of 2015.

Russ Wood of Rivals, reported that Arlington Country Day (Florida) 2015 forward Tulio Da Silva gave his verbal commitment to first-year head coach Orlando Antigua. The 6-foot-8 joins three-star power forward Luis Santos in Antigua’s inaugural recruiting class.

That class will also include former Maryland guard Roddy Peters who is sitting out this season per NCAA transfer rules.

In June, Da Silva appeared in the FIBA U18 Americas Championships in Colorado Springs. He averaged 6.0 points and 6.2 rebounds in 18.8 minutes per game. Later in the summer, he played in the Nike Global Challenge in Chicago, posting averages of 7.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.2 blocks a contest in the four-game showcase.
