I hope that kid enjoys the long ride home.

Don't think ANYONE will.

Is any one else proud he caught the ball?  We're 50% there guys, do you know how terrible we were last season?

We are mediocre now YES!

It wasn't just the refs. Lots of stupid mistakes and turnovers. Aside from those I really like what I saw. Give us a few years and we'll be back.

Tough play.

We were down 10 so it didn't cost us the game. But it hurt.

Really tough lesson, but he'll probably shift the ball to the correct hand from now on. This is what it's like to have a team loaded with underclassmen. Promising to think what we'll have in a season or two.

I think the OP meant cost us the game in the sense that it was a huge momentum shift at a critical time. Had we punched that in it would have energized the D that much more on UWs following possession.

I like him. He made a mistake maybe not next time.

was it a horrible lack of fundamentals? yeah. but he's a freshman. hard to be mad at the kid when he made the play in the first place. when was the last time USF even used a fullback, nevermind have one that can catch the ball and run with it? it is a much welcomed wrinkle.

and at the very least he flipped the field and put Wisconsin inside their 10. the defense had MULTIPLE chances to stop that 9 minute drive... to put the game on him is bunk IMO, especially when we would still have been behind even WITH a TD there instead of a fumble.

He looked really down when he went back to the bench.

Lesson learned. You move on and win the next one.

exactly. nearly everybody on this team making plays is a freshman or sophomore. takes time to cycle in the talent to match the system.

It was the play that changed the game....but it did not cost us the game.

I think what you can say though is a combination of penalties, lock of execution, and some bad refs cost us the game.

So many positives this team is growing and i think played up to the end no quit. Culture is changing...
