I think Judy nows but rather not but usf's name on, just the professor that has no affiliation with usf athletics. But yet our name stuck with it.   :GoBulls:

The article came from ESPN main page. I promise Judy knows about it now.

COIA chairman Michael Bowen of University of South Florida

"A group of reform-minded college professors..."

He works for USF.  He does not represent USF

Do you seriously think he would be chairman of this committee if Judy was not on board?

If so, you really don't get how these things work.

That is why universities have tenure so faculty are protected if they have ideas that conflict with the administration or conventional opinion. While I don't doubt that Genshaft could have been aware before this became public it doesn't mean she is on board or she subscribes to this group's beliefs.

I took a class by professor Bowen this past spring semester. I knew that he was involved with intercollegiate athletics, and that he advised several division 1 athletic departments, including USF; but I'm not sure to what extent. I remember him having to miss class one day in order to attend the NCAA meetings.

So he's definitely not just any "random" USF professor.

Unless someone can show where USF appointed him to represent the school about this then he is just a "random" USF professor ...

Yes, I wholeheartedly believe he is chairing this committee without Judy's consent/approval.

Anybody not believing that really doesn't understand how these things work ...

Agreed. Pretty sure Judy didn't appoint that other professor as our terrorist representitive either.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
